Does anyone know which archives have gone through multiple printings already? With Batman Archives volume 1 coming back to press (as a second printing I think), which other archives have gone through multiple printings? Is the New Teen Titans Archives vol. 1 still the first printing? DC did a great idea with reducing Batman Archives vol. 1's cover price in October 2001 at the $19.95 US/$32.95 Canada which apparently did well, selling off the remaining excess stock of first printings. The second printing will only bear this reduced price on initial direct sales pre-orders, with the remaining overprint back to the standard $49.95 US/$82.00 Canada cover price. I hope DC plans to do this price reduction on other, current out of print archive volumes like they said they may do following the announcement of Batman Archives vol. 1 going back to press recently. Here's a list of which volumes have had more than one printing so far. Most of these are now in their second printing, although a few have had more. Superman volume 1 is currently in its fourth printing, for instance: Superman Vol 1 Jim IP: Logged |

Hi guys, long time lurker on the board actually posts!  I found it very interesting to see that the Legion Archives have all had multiple printings up until Vol 9. Vol 10, I'm presuming, is the corrected printing? I knew the Legion Archives must have had decent sales, but I never realised that they were that popular! Has there ever been any type of survey showing the various Archives demographics? And how many volumes are generally released per printing? IP: Logged |
